Parshvnath Nandre

Born in 1974, Kolhapur and growing up in rural Maharashtra, the village environment had a profound influence on his childhood and continues to shape his artistic practice, which spans over three decades. His early works focused on portraiture, landscapes, and realism. However, in the past 10 years, his art has evolved, gradually leaning toward abstraction and experimentation.

Nandre has had the privilege of exhibiting his artworks at some of the most renowned galleries in India, including the Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai, the Nehru Centre in Mumbai, the Artist Centre in Mumbai, the Lalit Kala Akademi in Delhi, and the Kanoria Centre in Ahmedabad, among others.

He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions in cities such as London, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pondicherry, Udupi, and Delhi.

Nandre’s artwork is a reflection of the joys and sorrows of life, expressed through a combination of writing, poetry, painting, and sculpture. He primarily explores abstract forms, utilizing a diverse range of materials such as paper, canvas, paint, and other mediums to create depth and meaning in his pieces.

Artist lives and works in Baroda and Kolhapur.
