Purvi Parmar

Born in 1988, Ahmedabad, studied Fine Arts Diploma from Sheth C. N. College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad in 2008; B. A. in Literature in 2011 and Post Diploma from M. S. University, Vadodara in 2013. Since 2004, she has held solo shows frequently. In 2013 her works were exhibited in a group show at the Lalit Kala Academy Regional Centre in Lucknow. In 2015 she held a solo show ‘Optimistic Surroundings 2’ at the Jawahar Kala Kendra in Jaipur and at Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy. Further, she has participated in many group shows in major cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Mumbai, New Delhi, Udaipur. She received the 52nd Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy Award in Printmaking in 2013. She has also been awarded the Young Artist Scholarship by Ministry of Culture and the Junior Scholarship by Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy in 2014.

She lives and works in Ahmedabad.
