Sridhar Poluru

Born in 1968, Andhra Pradesh, studied B.Sc. from Nagarjuna University, before turning to art and passed his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with distinction from Andhra University. He worked at Kanoria Centre for Arts in Ahmedabad. A painter, his art comes in multimedia. With charcoal on textile and acrylic on canvas his imagery focuses on different subjects. The themes vary from daily life problems, gender issues such as women’s empowerment, sati, child marriage, girl education and environmental concerns; although he has also created work featuring divine forms and mythology. His work has been featured in exhibitions held in India and abroad.

Sridhar currently lives and works in Ahmedabad.
