Poluru’s work here is filled with the elements picked from Indian mythology, impressions from the heritage of Ahmedabad, along with its cityscape, and his whimsical sense of scale, which truly gives us ‘Unity in Diversity’. Detailing his work out, firstly the cow with the wings, Kamdhenu (an iconic element in Indian mythology), with the birds embossed on its skin represent how our mythology binds us together despite having different cultures. Here, Kamdhenu depicts unity and birds - diversity. Further the impressions of the iconic Sidi Saiyyed carvings circumscribed inside the wings of Kamdhenu, is a clear depiction of Ahmedabad. The lower half shows the skyline of Ahmedabad, further creating a fantasy picture by painting the dramatic clouds and trees. Right above the winged cow, the arch represents the Gates of Ahmedabad and the golden lotuses inside it represent prosperity.
